By Heidi Kirrmaier Kannik is an Inuit word meaning snowflake or falling snow. Since Canadians spend a lot of energy on snow related activities, it seemed the collection would be incomplete without a snow themed piece! I used two strands of fingering weight yarn held together to create a marled effect and soften the transition between the bands of colour, which also happens to look like a blizzard.SweetGeorgia sock yarn comes in a colour called ‘Snowfall’, so it was an obvious choice for this
